Good morning everyone! Hope you are well :-) I have a heads up for you, Crafty Ribbons are having a Big New Year sale with sets starting at £1-here are some examples below! Make sure you get shopping early though because they are limited in quantity so to be sure you get everything you like you need to move quickly! :-)
As I am here I would like to share with you this seasonal card I made using scraps of Crafty Ribbons winter ribbons-see a little bit of ribbon can really go a long way. I used a Lili of the Valley image I adore coloured with Copics and Promarkers, cut round this with a circle nestie. I used Bo Bunny Snowfall papers, a dome greeting, gems, pearls and Papermania snowflakes-all from my 2011 christmas stash! :-) I am pretty proud of myself for buying almost no new Christmas stash in 2012 and just using what I already owned :-)
I'd also like to share my birthday card for my Nan. I used Papermania Art Deco Ultimate set, Craftwork Cards Elegant 8x8 card blank, Dovecraft glitter ribbon and gems. A simple card but elegant-just what you need during a season full of crafty jobs to do! :-)
I would like to enter these into the following challenges:
Good afternoon everyone, hope you are well :-) Here I am with one of my Christmas gifts I made for my friends and loved ones this year. It was relatively simple to make too, just took a little work :-) I started with a plain notebook from WH Smiths, Printable Canvas paper, Glue and Matt Varnish. I used Sarah Hurley 'I love Paris' kit for my background and elements. I cut the rose and 'Memories' sentiment with a white border round them. I glued them on my cover then varnished my notebook to finish.
Good morning everyone! Hope you had a fantastic Christmas day and enjoy Boxing Day too-I have been busy working on a tutorial for you for Crafty Ribbons so watch this space! :-)
I havent blogged many of my christmas cards this year so I thought I would choose some of my favourites to post over the next few days! :-)
This card was made based around a Visible Image stamp which those of you who know me well is just the perfect sentiment to lure me in! ;-) I stamped and heat embossed this with a couple of other stamps from my stash which I have never used before. The corner one is a LOTV stamp and the snowflake came with a free stamp set from a magazine :-) I then coloured my paper with Tim Holtz distress inks to show off the sentiment and pattern to their best. I spritzed the paper with water to give a slightly more distressed and snowy looking feel too. I embellished with gems then used Bo Bunny Snowfall papers as my base.
Good morning everyone, hope you are well :-) I am here with another project for the Advent event at Crafty Ribbons Inspiration-a fantastic opportunity for you all to get involved and win some fab prizes-its not too late either, you can enter the previous days too so lots of chances to win some fabulous goodies!
Anyway, on to my project! I made a gift bag using a Saturated Canary digi coloured with Promarkers and Copics and cut round closely. I used Bo Bunny Snowfall papers and placed her in the middle. I added gorgeous Happy Christmas ribbon from Crafty Ribbons and then embellished with blue pearl hearts and a white pearl for her hair.
Good evening everyone, hope you are well! I dont know about you but in the midst of my Christmas crafting this year I became a little bored of the usual Christmas papers, embellies etc so I tried something really different and I am really pleased with the results! I stamped a Lili of the Valley stamp with Memento blue ink and left it uncoloured. I then paired this with Papermania Burleigh Blue collection for a Christmas card with a twist! Lastly I added little silver stars around my image :-) I'd love to know what you think!
Good morning everyone, I hope you are well :-) Here I am with a Christmas card using a gorgeous LOTV image I adore! I coloured him with Promarkers and Copics and cut round him with a nestie. I then used Crafty Ribbons Christmas printed ribbon as the basis for my card which is available here. I chose Bo Bunny Snowfall papers from last year which I really love and cut down from a 12x12 sheet. I embellished with a felt snowflake and lots of gems.
Good evening everyone, hope you are well :-) Here I am with one of my projects featured in the new Sarah Hurley Lookbook magazine here. You should pop by and have a peek at all the lovely DT inspiration :-)
I used Sarah Hurley's Expedition kit for my greeting and image, then the Steampunk kit for my papers. All I added was some black cardstock, florists jute ribbon and wooden buttons.
Good morning everyone, hope you are well :-) Here I am with a wreath for day 17 of our Advent event at Crafty Ribbons Inspiration blog. Today we are sponsored by Whichcraft and dont forget to come along to look at the inspiration and enter our giveaways!
I decorated this wreath with mini baubles through the tinsel using wire to fix them so you can only see the decorations and not the top of the baubles and used the fabulous printed ribbon as my sentiment-it just shows how effective a little bit of printed ribbon can be :-)
I cannot believe this month, its flown past! This was my project for earlier this week at Crafty Ribbons Inspiration but I just lost track of time so am here to show you it now. Make sure you pop by and enter our Advent Event-there are such fantastic opportunities to win and to see lots of inspiration for our team so well worth a visit!
Its a simple little gift bag and I made use of one of my techniques that I used on my winning entry to Cardmaking and Papercrafts Cardmaker of the year 2012 competition (Stampin' Up Category) which is stamping on fabric and colouring by painting the fabric with Acrylic paints. It is a bit more work but I think it is worth it to be able to use some of our favourite stamps in a new way and with more textures! I only used an old white sheet too so it doesnt need to be an expensive new experiment. I stamped my LOTV James Bear onto the cotton sheet with Stazon, then coloured him with Acrylic paints. I left him to dry then sewed him onto my gift bag then sewed on some of the gorgeous new christmas printed ribbon I was sent from Crafty Ribbons with a fantastic greeting to finish my project :-)
Hello everyone, I hope you are well. Here I am with an inspiration piece for our Advent event at Crafty Ribbons Inspiration. Its a fantastic opportunity for our followers to see many inspiration projects and to enter fantastic giveaways :-) I made this wreath with a wire florists wreath which I covered with an old sheet for padding. I then attached gorgeous Christmas ribbon around the wreath trying to keep the pattern the right way around all the way round. Lastly I added a silver poinsettia flower as my simple decoration.
Good afternoon everyone, hope you are well :-) Here I am with a project for my lovely friend who writes poetry. I thought I would make him a notebook for every day and one for by his bed so he always has somewhere to write his ideas down. This is the first, the every day notebook. I used Serif software and Sarah Hurley's Expedition and Steampunk kits which I printed onto canvas paper for a really posh look. I then varnished the book with matt varnish to make sure it is life proof-cant have it getting dirty and ruining it after all my hard work! Above is the front and below is the back cover.
Good afternoon everyone, hope you are well :-) I am here with my slightly late card for One Stop Craft Challenge where our theme is 'Christmas Friends'. I wasnt given the digi until friday night so took me a couple of days to create! Its a gorgeous digi from Krista at Saturated Canary coloured with Promarkers, Flexmarkers and Copics. I then added Deco Art glitter as my snow.
I used Bo Bunny Snowfall collection papers from last year, with blue cardstock, gems, Papermania Felt snowflakes also from last year and a 'Let it snow' dome greeting.

For this challenge I have made an upcycled Cereal packet clock. I used a layers of Cereal packets cut with a grand nestie as my base, then decorated a face made of Bo Bunny Gabrielle papers stamped and embossed with a butterfly theme with gold embossing powder. I added a clock movement I found cheaply on ebay and self adhesive numbers.
For the back of the clock I used modge podge on a cut down paper cup with extra strips of paper as paper mache to strengthen its hold.
I would like to enter this into the following challenges:
Good afternoon everyone, hope you are well :-) Here I am with my DT card for our 'More than One fold' challenge at One Stitch at a Time. It has been ages since I made an easel card but I really enjoyed making it :-)
I coloured the image I chose with Promarkers and Flexmarkers then cut round it. I matted it onto brown cardstock and added it to a frame made with the papers I chose for this project-Prima Sunkiss collection. I matted this onto another panel of brown cardstock. Next I added a panel of paper on brown cardstock to the top of my easel to stabilise my main image. Lastly I added paper and cardstock to the base of my card and made a panel of cardstock and paper as an anchor which I decorated with Papermania buttons and added a glitterations 'Happy Birthday' greeting.
Good afternoon everyone, hope you are well :-) Here I am with my DT card for our last challenge for the year at Dream Valley Challenges-with a fab Christmas theme for you to all finish off your Christmas creations with :-)
I used Forever Friends Timeless collection decoupaged image which I added to various papers from my Christmas stash distressed with Distress inks and a strip of cotton christmas patterned ribbon also from my stash last year :-)
Another project which really caught my eye was this Birthday Organiser by Vickie at HeARTful Stamper-I am sure we could all do with one of these and to be so beautiful would be a huge bonus!
Next is this incredible Belly Dancing costume by Jen at Art, Bellydancing and Crafting. You can see every bit of love and care that has gone into making this-its a real labour of love but when the result is this stunning costume it must be very rewarding!
Next is this gorgeous jewellery set by Juliet at Ballpoint Bliss. I just love the deep blue colours and those cute little fish!
I will be back later to show off some more stunning pieces entered into my All Craft Challenge and will announce my top three and winner tomorrow so please pop back then to see who was lucky this time.
I would just like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who enters my challenge for joining in-it really shows the wealth of talent available in blogland :-)
Good evening everyone, hope you are well! Sorry I have been a little quiet, have been trying to make some really different gifts and things using ribbon and trying to also get my Christmas cards started-eek! ;-) Here is one of my Christmas cards. I stamped the Snowflakes and Visible image greeting onto smooth white cardstock and heat embossed with White glittery embossing powder and then coloured this with Tim Holtz distress inks which I then sprayed water onto for little flakes. I used my favourite Bo Bunny Snowfall papers from last year as my base.
I have drawn my Candy winner from random.org and the winner is Maureen-can you please contact me on the email in my sidebar please lovely? I will be back with some more candy soon!
Good morning everyone, hope you are well! Here I am with another of my projects for Crafty Ribbons which I have been really excited to show you! :-) I have made a tutorial for you to follow to make your own one of these if you would like to visit and see, its the first tutorial at Crafty Ribbons here!
I used White Hardboard, Cotton Batting, Fabric, Ribbons, and Staples-then added Vintage Mother of Pearl Buttons to finish.
Good morning everyone, hope you are well! Here I am with another project for the Advent Event at Crafty Ribbons, this time a christmas canvas making use of the gorgeous Christmas ribbons! I started by using a canvas sheet and drawing on a triangle shape. I then cut the ribbon to angled strips to make my tree shape. I then added a little bit of present printed ribbon as my base. Lastly I added a gem star at the top of the tree. A different christmas decoration and present :-)
We would love if you could pop by and enter-we have some fabulous prizes up for grabs!
Good morning everyone, hope you are well :-) Well, here is one of the projects I have been so excited to share with you, its a Wreath for day two of Crafty Ribbons Advent Event. You really should play along with us because there are some fantastic opportunities for prizes and some fantastic inspiration from the Design Team. Today our sponsor is Joanna Sheen who has given two Thomas Kinkade decoupage packs as the prize so well worth a try!
For this wreath I used a florists wire wreath which had two wires around the inside and the outside. I added a third wire myself within the two so I could fill out the wreath really well with the ribbons. I tied lots of different ribbons and organza fabric cut into small pieces anywhere I could until it was really full. I used these Jam Pot Collection of ribbons from Crafty Ribbons padded out with some organza fabric.
Good evening everyone, hope you are well. Sorry this is a little late but I lost track of time on Friday-I swear I didnt realise how soon December was-that sneaked up on me! Got some serious Christmas crafting to do haha!
Our theme this month is 'Christmas'-how easy it is to join us with this theme! For this project I used Sarah Hurley's Santas Workshop available at her etsy here. It is a simple Christmas card which I am sure we can all do with as it speeds towards the 25th! ;-) All I added to the kit was-a shaped card blank from Craftwork Cards that went well with the greeting tag, gems and American Crafts Polka dot ribbon.
Good morning everyone, hope you are well! Sorry I have been quiet but I have been making some DT projects for Crafty Ribbons Advent event and Sarah Hurley for the next Lookbook magazine-I am so excited to share these with you soon, I really hope youll like them! Anyway here I am with my Family Scrapbook page two-if you didnt see the start of this project then here is the background. I have decided to make a scrapbook using my Grandparents photos of all my distant family relatives-going back to the 1800's-I really want to use it as a way to thank my family for being such a loving part of my life and to pass down the generations. I havent used the original photos and if any of you have any old photos I would encourage you to get them out and scan them in to your computer for safekeeping and also to rescue any that are fading with age-with software you can really improve the quality of the image and rescue them before its too late :-)
I used a kit which I bought secondhand-I love the vintage shabby chic look and its perfec for this particular project-I cant remember what make it is, but I *think* its Basic Grey. If anyone recognises this then please point it out for me! :-) For this page you can see a 'Pull me' tab-when its pulled a note with who is in the photo comes out. Its a fantastic Christmassy image of a family party and it was a pleasure to work with :-)

Good afternoon everyone, here I am with my last Guest Design project for the wonderful Loves Rubberstamps team-thank you so much for including me, it has been an honour and a lot of fun too! :-)
Our theme this week is 'Kraft Plus One Colour' and I chose a Wild Rose Studio stamp available from the store here. I coloured the image with Copics to compliment the gorgeous Bo Bunny 'Forever Fall' papers I used. I added florists ribbon for texture, and butterflies as embellies. Lastly I added a gold glitterations 'Make a Wish...' greeting.
Good morning everyone, hope you are well :-) Here I am with my DT card for our challenge at Dream Valley this fortnight which is 'Non Traditional Christmas' So I was excited to get out my favourite Bo Bunny papers from last year-the Snowfall collection which is a gorgeous mix of blues, turquoises and browns with a fabulous distressed look :-) I coloured a LOTV image with Promarkers and Sakura glitter pen on the baubles and tinsel. I then cut round him and inked the edges with Distress inks to tie it in with the papers. I added American Crafts Polka dot Ribbon, Buttons and a 'Tinsel Time' greeting which fits perfectly with the image!
Good morning everyone, hope you are well! Here I am with my DT project for our 'Fabric, Ribbon or Lace' challenge at One Stitch at a Time this week. Ive started making my Christmas gifts in the hope I can get them all made in time! I chose to make a frame for a photo I took which I love of a wintery sunny day by the sea. I had printed this on Canvas so wanted to make a frame without glass so I didnt ruin the canvas look. I found frames in poundland and decided to use those. I covered the frame and inside of the frame with the gorgeous papers by Oase and embellished the swirls with pearls and added butterflies too.I added ribbon to the bottom of the canvas to lift the photo as the shingle on the beach was slightly dark without it.
Good afternoon everyone, hope you are well! Here I am with a project close to my heart. My grandparents on this side of the family both passed away a few years ago and we inherited the family photos so I decided to scan and improve the photos (some of them are hundreds of years old and worse for wear) and make a scrapbook of my family tree using copies of the originals and rescuing the old photos so we have improved quality copies kept on an external hard drive. Luckily my grandmother went through her photo albums before she passed away and wrote who was in each photo which makes this process so much easier! The idea is to have a family scrapbook to share with my close and extended family now and to pass down the generations-its my way to show how thankful I am for those I love, even those who are no longer here.
I used a kit I bought secondhand from someone so I am not sure what make it is but its perfect for this project-pretty but with a real vintage look :-)
Good morning everyone, hope you are well! Well I got a huge surprise this morning-the postman delivered a large unexpected parcel-turns out I have won third prize in the Stampin' Up category of Cardmaking and Papercraft magazine's Cardmaker of the Year competition 2012! Got a fantastic prize of Stampin Up products-stamps, ink pads, paper, cardstock, ribbon etc! :-)
I am here to show you my Guest design project for Loves Rubberstamps Challenge this week where our theme is 'Fun with Ribbons'. Now we all know I love ribbon so this challenge was so much fun for me! I wanted to make a really cheery card so used one of my favourite stamps-Humphrey's Corner Thinking of you. I coloured this with Promarkers and Flexmarkers, then cut round with a nestie, placing my greeting where Humphrey is looking. I then made my card base with gorgeous papers free from a magazine (one of my fave free stacks) and polka dot ribbon in four different shades of colour complimenting the papers. I then added my Humphrey image and embellished with wooden buttons and yellow die cut butterflies cut from Coredinations card with a Memory Box die. Next I embellished the corner of my card with a large yellow butterfly cut out of the same Coredinations card with a Spellbinders die, which I added gems to.
Good afternoon everyone, hope you are well :-) I really love the new Art Deco range from Papermania so I have been busily crafting with the Ultimate collection kit and have lots of cards to show you :-)
I used papers, image and greeting from the Ultimate collection on a cream card blank and added black glitter card to mat my image and the sentiment onto, and gems to add some glitz and glamour :-)
